Almost skipped my double today - heavy legs and general fatuige but a 20 minute power nap, Eight bananas, and a (very) large green salad with apples, peppers, carrots and cabbage seem to do the trick to get me back out for another couple of miles. This is the last high volume week so I really want to push through and see it through for as close to 70 as I can get. A little episode like this though does illustrate the issues of proper fuel and hydration as I was a little under on both counts. Calories count. Quality calories count even more so (and junk calories put us under even more) and hydration is a constant - especially on these humid days and hard training.
