Abiding In This Singular Nature

there is an ease to presence - no tree struggles in its reach within the sky, air accepting every branch offered, and clouds to nourish with the grace of rain. All things become each other. My meditation is simple - with no lines of division, I allow the view to tell me what to be, abiding in this singular nature.

On Being Headless

On being headless - it's a look for yourself vision, the view turned back to find its source. There is no trick of sight, no states attained, it's the simplicity of our own spacious wonder. Looking outwards, we note objects, there are things that have definite form and function. Our assumption is that we too are an object held within form, body and head belonging to our story. And maybe so - yet have we ever really looked to see? Tracing the view in a direct line from object to the source that holds the view - what do we see? What do we see - truly see, not imagined, or remembered from photograph and mirror, what is seen from our own investigation? In countless times I have found no head, no face save a brief sight of facial structure that in itself seems to emerge from nowhere. My truth is found headless. And there's more - this headless space is aware, and it's full, it holds the world, and stars and further than eyes can see. It holds you. My face is gone and traded for the beautiful view of you. This is where I find love - my endless capacity to keep expanding, and holding, with no need or wish to hold other than what's now before me. More still I find that I am space for the very thoughts that once sustained my beliefs in a solid world. Life is lived through me - yet I am free to engage in the motion of its passing. In short, at least in times of really seeing - I am free. And my headless view is always here to remind me.

I Wear The Beauty Of Your Expression As My Own

This face - seen by all the world yet not by me. From my perspective, there is a self absent to my own sight, faceless, and fully capable to expand in its capacity to hold the world. I am to large for a single identity, to expansive for one face, and must wear an entire view for my reality. My true face is sun, and moon, and stars. I wear the beauty of your expression as my own. My original face is void of distinction, spacious, and therefore each distinct feature that is viewed becomes my own. How fortunate for me, not to be stuck within a confined shell that limits my capacity to hold. Indeed, I am blessed to be faceless, headless, and so my friends - are each of you.

Looking For My Own Existence

and now I find myself as room, as capacity served, in ever growing scope and view. Looking for my own existence, my sight turned towards its source, I find a spacious awareness that holds first the thoughts and memories of who I though I was, I find a life lived through a loving space that holds it all without a judgement of what should be. More so, I find no line of separation that tells me that this love, this embrace without end, is not exactly who I really am. Exploring further, searching a division self and world, it seems not just this individual life is lived through this space, but all life, my truth is without lines, seamless, and here I find myself serving as space to hold the world, to hold moon, and sun, and stars. All this found in a single glance - looking for my own existence, there was found an endless view of what I really am.

This Page Before Me

it's an allowing place, this page before me - open, no judgment cast to words that only I may value. Here, I am true to my headless self, pure, seamless from creative source to what finds itself expressed upon the page. There is nothing in the way. It's no different from anywhere else, only here, in this allowing place - words appear.

Self - Contained

contained - and at once, too, found without borders. There is a paradox to what we are, form with infinite space to surroundings, and the space itself that allows form its moment of expression. We can be both, indeed our true presence abides as endless awareness, impartial to the shift of our focus. Our humanness is perfection, a mysterious becoming that demands to be both divine and profane, and it all fits within our true existence. Thus we are contained - yet only by our own infinite surrounding.

Misplaced Value

and every thought - surrounded by the infinite space of our existence. Yet we place the value of reality upon a fleeting moment oft repeated. Our truth is not a singular note but the silence that allows symphonies played in endless order. Our reality is found in stillness, and motion no more than a prayer offered as a self caress. This is our value, our own infinite self, embracing form and thought, allowing for their moment and their passing. Placing out attention here, this spaciousness holding all, we see the truth of our existence.

No Letting Go

There is no letting go - there only seems to be a moment held, but in truth we are timeless in mind and nature. We are blue sky, open, unconcerned to what may pass, and always spacious in our welcome. To let go invokes action where none is needed - there is a length of stay to every appearance, and we are witness to thoughts that come and go, we stay in this awareness, it's what we truly are, and nothing can remove us. So we remain, passed through, and all that's let go - simply happens on its own.

It's Nothing

it's nothing - and yet an absolute allowance for all thing to appear. Our true nature is the wish of emptiness, not to remain without holding, but to be the embrace forever unfulfilled in its capacity to support the qualities of every life expressed. It's nothing, our presence, but only to the point in which we hold the world in its existence.

Of A Shared Becoming

it's a meditation of a shared becoming - each disappeared in favor of the others view, an equal trade of space for form, allowing ourselves to be reborn in the image held before us. Looking back to source - we find each other, my beauty is yours, given to me by the spacious desire offered by your glance and in return I give to you my own emptiness, eager now to hold you in your own becoming. It's a meditation so deep, constant in every gaze, and yet only faintly remembered. It's how the world is made, effortless, and now, again, we bring it first to memory, relishing our shared time together. It's a meditation of becoming.

Disappearing In All But Absolute Awareness

disappeared - and yet still I recognize myself in the details of the world. It's not that I've forgotten my own particular moment of existence, it is more the realization that existence itself holds this particular form but only for a moment. I am the larger view and in this I find myself disappearing in all but absolute awareness to what's lived.

The Love Of This Acceptance

We meet all things, open, no resistance offered for no such thing exist outside the demands our thoughts place upon the world. Here, our spacious truth, is only an allowing reality that greets each moment on equal terms. There is no matter beyond the love of this acceptance.

No Matter Which Side Of The View

and to see the world in the lessening view of my own self and now find that there is so much more than I believed myself to be. It's a paradox - in my belief that I am the viewer the world itself fits neatly in the framework of my view, To begin first with the world at large and trace it's return to the source of my gaze - nothing but the world is found. There is a largeness here, spacious to the point that even this paradox is included. It's enough to know that I too am this mystery - no matter which side of the view I find myself on.

My Own Clear Seeing

it was clearly seeing the world, each detail such as the sky merging to the reach of trees and then further to the earth and every blade of grass belonging to the other - and at no place did this merging end in my touch or my own view. At once I saw not just my own connection, but my own belonging being essential to it all. Without me there could be no world and equally so the world provided my unique expression to be known.
It was indeed a moment of
clear seeing.

Try This -

Try this - in a single line of vision, traced from world directly back to source, find a break where we begin and the objects that we view come to end. In absence of point of separation, have the faith to explore what is found, as well as that which isn't shown. Trust the evidence of what is seen - if there is the world, yet no one there to hold the view, perhaps we and the world are one.

Touched Upon Itself

Touched upon itself - the world is seamless to all but the senses. There is no aspect of sky separate from breath, and no viewed held apart from the source of vision. We breathe sky, and see just one thing in many shades of wonder. Our senses divide the world to navigate by contrast, to know the depth of beauty, and provide ourselves a unique expression briefly lived. Yet more to this is the understanding of how one thing offers itself to be many for the pleasure of the senses.

Played Through

Played through - it's silence that holds the song and allows each note its singular expression. As such our own lives are embraced by a allowing presence that gives right for our music to be heard. More so, we are played through the field of our own existence, a singular note lived brief, yet continued always as the song.

The Largeness Of My Truest Self

I cherish my emptiness, those clear moments of seeing that my absence serves to the point of holding only you, that the world becomes in the stretch of my embrace - and even this small life I call as my own is allowed its brief expression in the largeness of my truest self.

My Own Absence

My own absence is seen in the details of the world - where I search for self there comes no sign of form nor sense of boundaries. Yet the world is present in the space held as my own, expanding and contracting in scope of view and focus. Clearly, I am that which holds the world and allows for its unfolding. My own absence shows me this in the details and the beauty of the view.

A Constant Yes

A constant yes - our true self is this acceptance and
nothing more is needed for our
enlightenment to be
known.

Our presence denies nothing, does not seek to hold a moment past its due, and even thoughts opposing this view are embraced in spacious understanding.
It's just how things are.
It's what we are.

To Hold The World In Its Becoming

real beauty does not lie out there and witnessed separate from its source - it's a seamless grace spread as our own wonder, inviting us to know the truth of who we are. Beauty can't be recognized as apart from us, as a flower gives itself to air in a bloom of love, the same allowing space is our own nature calling for us to give ourselves away. As this we are seen in full beauty - not just the flower that has but a moment to be known, but the spaciousness that asks nothing but to hold the world in its becoming.

Eric

The Way To Our Enlightenment

attention on breath - we breathe the details of the experience, life touched to lips, and drawn deep to body, released again to air. Yet this alone is not the way to our enlightenment. To be mindful of any quality serves only the moment of attention, our own awakening is simply the shift beyond the moment to the quiet presence that allows this all to happen. True enlightenment is not an experience, it is not a passing state of a concentrated mind - it's only awareness, awake to itself, empty, and serving as the capacity to hold the world. No attention is needed - once seen, all we have to do is be what we are.

The Other Side Of Our Existence

and certainly a self is found - a distinction within a greater framework of quiet presence. This now is both sides of our existence, an endless, open capacity, that gives a finite personality a moment for it's expression. We are gifted this particular lifetime, and with all gifts there is grace in its acceptance. Yet still and always there is that quiet presence, the other side of our existence, allowing us to be.

Until The Grace Of Your Arrival

Seeing no reflection  - even a mirror offers only a partial story, showing itself as an object, holding an image absent of my own reality. My own truth tells me, through careful observation, that I am not found in mirror, or photo, or in another's eyes. Looking for my own image, my face that seems to tell other's who I am - I am confronted with an empty understanding that holds everything in the world but my head. Your own face tells me more of who I am than a mirror ever possibly could, in your eyes I see my own self becoming into form, a beauty not found in my own absence until the grace of your arrival. Emptiness reflects nothing back, it's sole purpose is to hold, embrace, and give of itself endlessly. No mirror could ever tell this story.

Our Problem Isn't That We Have Problems

Our problem isn't that we have problems, but that we seek to contain them within an imaginary framework of existence. Life offers itself in contradictory form, we cling most to what will never stay and let pass the truth of who we really are. Or so it seems. The reality is that life happens to no one, it's expressed in every conceivable way through the open, allowing, nature of our presence. We are witness to it's happening, yet fully engaged as well. In a subtle shift of sight, we can arrange ourselves to recognize our endless capacity that allows all this to be. We can see form emerge from formlessness and somehow know ourselves as both. We can be room for problems, for life, and the full range of their expressions. Here's how to see - look at the objects of the world, find their place as a singular point of being, now look back to the origin of the view. Truly search for a face belonging to a viewer. Even a mirror reveals only what is seen forward. The source of sight - is sightless. So it is for all things, sounds emerge from silence, thoughts from the eternal stillness of true mind. Our problem is that we believe problems exist here, within the reality of our existence. They don't. This makes them no less real in the moment of their presence. Yet now, seeing who we really are - we abide as space that allows their passage.

Peace,
Eric

What We Are Is Seen In Two Directions

We trace our outline as the world - and further still to touch the stars. We are boundless, directionless, still, and yet know ourselves too as form and motion. We are mystery itself, a story told as paradox but equally true in word and silence. It's whats we are, every detail in finite beauty, as well as the spaciousness that allows for its distinction. We are the absence of self, and the emptiness provided for self to be. What we are is seen in two directions - an outward glance shows us as the world, and with the same gazed turned towards its source, our absence is revealed.

No Break Of Existence In Between

the world contained within our gaze - yet more so, we are the capacity that allows the view to be. It's a seamless unfolding, from empty source to surroundings of life and no break of existence in between. In this light - the world is seen as our extension.
