On Taking Credit For

of course I'd love to take credit for it, for this success of life, and even for failures and the lessons learned. Yet, mostly what I find is a clear, spontaneous arising of events, my own participation simply being a management of occurrence, perhaps given artistic license through arrangement. Certainly there has always been the appearance of consequence of actions taken - yet in the intricate dynamics of events, seen and unseen, near and far, what role do I truly play in their outcome? Traditionally, we demand our charge as the final say in how life plays. For me, I find this voice shallow, with no authority beyond a shout in empty chambers. Only echoes fading. So it seems that choice is apparent - but real power is not found in appearance, it's not a wish, manifestation of desires. It's simply life, the full allowance of all dynamics in their creative play. This is far too much for one person to demand credit for - most especially as I too, am found amidst this play.
