it's the grace of allowing just one
small thing -
and so my view expands to the
details of the world.
~
Here we find that life is beyond the realm of choice, that while we have our preferences and a certain role to play in interactions with the world - we remain a smaller current in a river run wild in it's reach through infinite waters. By virtue of appearance - everything is allowed, even our wish for life to be otherwise than presented now.
It all belongs.
Our grace is found in this acceptance.
Of course we may still find ourselves striving for what seems a better world, or expanding effort to achieve a noble cause. Our natural surrender isn't defeat - it's the simple realization that life continues in it's onward stretch, always a mystery, everything fitting within some larger understanding. Really, it's just peeking past our finite current - and glimpsing the infinite waters that we truly are.
Peace,
Eric
