The Tao of Distance Running -# 76

The hard and stiff will be broken.
The soft and supple will prevail.

~

Not against...but with the earth in a
met caress. We run in supple
lines of pure devotion.

Our steps remain a constant reach and the ground gives rise to meet them.

Run soft. There is power in a supple step. We flow in a liquid stride that holds the ground in pure devotion. Some run with a striking step and the earth responds in hardness. We seek to know the ground - from sole to soul and offered back in all direction. Our steps are the means of giving ourselves to the present moment. Earth and body offer feedback in the response of comfort, grace and energy. Our role is to listen to both earth and body and keep the dialog open and honest and express this holy conversation in the nature of our stride.

Peace,
Eric
