perhaps there is a practice - a means of seeing the obviousness of each moment as it unfolds in a mystery of its own. Yet this is no ritual, no path to follow with an end goal to reach. It's simply seeing, our attention turned back towards itself, a gaze briefly engaged in a curious quest to find the source of its beginning. And to this end - nothing, no realization of grand illusions, no awakening to an instant enlightenment. Only seeing.
I called this a practice - yet better said it's just a repetition of a single moment, seen through our own innocence, again, for the very first time.
It's not even meditation.
Only seeing
what
is
right now.
And that's the mystery - each look will reveal exactly and only what the moment holds, and I have no idea what that will be. Not this time. Or the next.
It always,
only
holds
the mystery unfolding in the
moment.
All we do is look - and even this is just an option.
The mystery still unfolds
completely on its
own.

Eric
