I'm Just Another Storyteller

it's only stories told - our view is of the world and of things described through our navigation. We tell stories in the faith of what we come to believe without a single question, labeling and giving names in the hope of better understanding. Our stories give the world a certain meaning, aiding a tradition of countless generations in their quest to give order. Yet no story ever tells a complete truth, each word another layer applied against the bare essence of reality. There is no harm to telling stories, it's the way we teach, comfort, and provide an ease of travel through the length of time we're given. Our stories though, show us only a partial world. If we turn from thought and words, attention not on labels but to the awareness that knows each item as it's own continued presence - how then would our beliefs be told?
Silence, as important as spoken words.
Spaciousness viewed as capacity given to form.
Our own presence the template for the world to be.
The truth is - I don't know.
I'm just another storyteller.
But there are moments, when attention turns back towards the source from which my stories are told - I find the absence of a teller.
Only presence
mystery
an audience to itself.
And I know - I'm more than just a storyteller.

Peace,
Eric
