Of Belonging

of this world, and seamless through it all - it's an inquiry of belonging. There is nothing found apart from my view, no scent, nor sound separate from the field of my perception. It seems obvious to tell, but so often forgotten that everything occurs with my participation. To witness a bird just before flight, is to lend myself as the sky's embrace, knowing soon of its arrival. Seeing, takes care of all of this without need of preparation, the view is instantly expanded in it's capacity to hold it all, and my role is simply to be part of what unfolds. It's not that I am vital to the experience - it's the I belong, fully, as the whole.

Air In It's Embrace

grace is seamless, air in its embrace of self through the flight of birds and reach of trees, nothing parting for the sense of other - but just one thing in shifting points of emptiness and form. We demonstrate grace through our own receiving, that life is in constant offering and there is no refusal of varied gifts in which we're given. Our grace is in recognizing that as with air, we are limitless in acceptance, our nature is to simply give room for one more aspect of life - as well we  find ourselves as the very same spaciousness through which we receive.

Assumption of Words

it's the assumption of words, the irony of their description of against the offered emptiness of the page. Everything is described just an instant past occurrence, a memory already faulty in recall. But too, this moment holds the freshness, the innocence of each words appearing - they don't have to capture anything other that-  this. Which they do without effort.

And The Flower Still Blooms

and just - it's the bare, obvious, and aloneness of each moment, the impossibility of anything beyond right now. Just this, what seems my time in observation of a flower, and infinite suggestions present themselves - that our shared space belongs in equal measure to the capacity given each other, and more our intimacy, that we intermingle to a degree past belief in separation. And then, just this, and everything else is beyond matter, there is no philosophy of myself and flower, everything belongs exactly as it falls, with or without any thoughts I might provide. From here, always here, my walk continues...and the flower still blooms.

Full of My Participation

but just belonging as the whole - and no longer seeing the world in parts, life is shared as one expression with infinite distinctions. It's intimate beyond compare. To find myself in dialog through air and breath with a bird flight and flowers reaching bloom - and it all taking place as simply life carried on. I have no doubt that I belong, and more that there is only this, right now, full of my participation.

Something Other

it only seems to be the same - even with a steady gaze I find the world in constant change, and too I see myself shifting to the moments subtle sense of new and parting ways. Nothing is lasting, and in an equal exchange of view and presence I stand before a single flower, wondering of things shared between us, knowing that even now we're altered in some fashion from the first instant of our encounter. Something has been given and lost for both flower and myself, and yet it all seems the same to all apparent reason. Turning away - this, whatever life has now offered, is already in a shift to something other.

Luxury of Space

and always we are afforded another aspect of self, this luxury of space that always to hold whatever life has to offer. In this we see our limitless ability to expand, that our nature is at once a solid sense of the world as well as a spaciousness that never ends in its capacity to include. There is no split between the two, we are not separate from any real aspect of ourselves - we are space and form in constant trade of perspective, with no effort for this to be so. It all happens on its own.

With All That Life Has Given

it doesn't come to this, there is no arrival to this moment - our recognition of anything comes now or not at all. This - is it, whatever is happening right now, good or ill, beauty and profane, everything belongs until the moment that it doesn't. We can't avoid what's occurring, there's no escape from the present even as our minds wander in their try. We can accept, abiding in the very change that happens too within this moment. There will be something other, a shift to a new occurrence, a dawn of possibilities - yet always, only, we are here with all that life has given.

Full of Precious Givings

this once, and precious life, given through moments not to be held beyond their stay. It's only, always, expressed as this, whatever is occurring and cherished for simply being present, even if its gift is pain and the sorrow of its leaving. It all belongs. Through this life is seen for what it is, whole, complete, and full of precious givings.

An Achievement Without Effort

always this moment, always here - and it seems so obvious, that there is nowhere else but now in time and location, and nothing occurs outside this very instant. We find ourselves wandering far through past landscapes and dreaming on towards one day goals. Yet there is no travel beyond right now. And this seems to the only true revelation that matters, that our existence takes place this very moment or not at all. There is absolutely nothing to be done to find ourselves here, no need to strive to be present to this moment. We are an achievement without effort. It's just the way we are.

Wishing to Expand

so too this desire - equal to a
birds wing touched to
air

it's the sense that we belong

~
This, a true desire not to possess but to surround, recognizing ourselves as the embrace of every object wished for, an allowing space given for both demands met and unfulfilled, knowing that whatever appears is simply life in varied form. Nothing is avoided. Desire is only life wishing to expand, In this recognition - truly, everything belongs.

Empty Of

empty of - but still
we are.

We exist, the world is, and yet nothing is exactly as it appears to be. To see ourselves clearly is to arrive at an emptiness that allows our every aspect, our quirks, and unique contributions to the world, to know that we are not one fixed entity never to expand. Emptiness just means capacity to be, that there is more to us than contained in simple thought and form. We discover how large we truly are only through the emptiness of a current self. So empty of - what than are we? To this I can only say we are, and leave the rest to mystery.

This

this, and nothing is found - yet this doesn't mean emptiness through absence, but that what is here, right now, this, is constantly shifting in appearance. This moment is empty of anything lasting past its single point of being, and then there comes another instant in its becoming. Our world is motion. So nothing is true in any lasting effect, a flower seen once and then already presenting itself anew. And too, this moment bring us to our own brief touch of now, never to be exactly - as this again. As we are, we will never be repeated.

Gifted

gifted by this moment of a flower - and
then too as something new
again

it's never quite the same, to view a flower now is to see motion slowed to a point not noticed to the eyes. Yet even in this instant it's never still, never ceasing in its course of life in some expression. Every moment is a gift of just what is, a shifting grace of all that's met and even now parting, and not to be repeated.

we see a flower only once - and
then, again, it's seen
brand new.

Allowed to Simply Be

we're allowed to be simply be, and this only means that somehow, through the infinite play of what brings us to existence - we are. With no reason as to why. To be allowed is just a phrase to signify that things could easily have been otherwise, perhaps to note the possibility of a world without the pleasure of our being. That we are here, and aware, with no effort due from us at all - is a gift, and one we serve through grace and mystery.

There is No Plan

as it all is - and this too is our belonging. Life goes on, and our role is essential in some unknowing fashion. To this end there is no plan, no set course for us to accomplish. It's just a matter for us to simply be, exactly as what we are - allowing it all to continue, always on its own.

A Smaller Universe

and seen through further reduction  - I find myself a smaller universe of cells, atoms, particles...and then nothing more at all, in fact absolute in the nothingness that's offered. Except - there's somehow too this cohesive urge of being, of desire and a wish to be expressed, and everything that appears as world belonging to this seeming void. Both offer themselves as my reality. That by looking I can find myself aware, spacious and a giving capacity - and yet no aspect of my personal bias is denied, that it all fits in a seamless wonder of self and selfless at once and for now. It's an impersonal beingness of my trait.

What Emerges

from the whole - and what emerges is always just the same, although unique in the details of its display. Nothing breaks apart from anything else except in appearance. And even this is but a judgment of the senses. Is a flower in anyway separate from our observation? Does it belong to a different field than our awareness? Take each distinction offered and trace it directly to its source - everything is always, only, found exactly here. This is the wholeness of existence.

In Terms of Lines

we think in terms of lines - broken patterns through existence, one thing in a separate becoming from another. Yet life itself is not defined by illusory lines, reality providing a truth not always apparent to the mind. We cannot point to air, sky, or even then the universe without our inclusion, there is the immediate intimacy of meeting ourselves in formless wonder. There is no true break from hand to air, no constellation of atoms somehow kept apart from the universe at large. We intermingle, trading aspects of self for unique patterns within the whole. But lines too serve our needs for beauty, divisions created for a lovers touch to join, an edge offered in sunlit display against the ground through dawn and dusk. It's really all one thing in shifting designs.

But Why?

but why?
And this brings to question not the fundamental laws that govern the universe, that life displays though every function - but why things exist in such a way, or even that they do at all. There are philosophies for this, answers drawn from inquiry to science. My words won't offer anything at all. I exist as mystery - and every answers leads more to the endlessness of this. Questions now are explorations of the present moment, an inquiry into the appearance of things, their length of stay, and then departure - of how it all arrives from nothing to now awareness. I have no idea as to why any of this is at all. But I am grateful that it is and too for my inclusion.

Seemingly in View

seemingly - as if we are offered the world in fragments so that our view could make it whole. Yet anything seen is immediate to our belonging. This is the gift of nature, we are given to a subtle awe with every appearance of a flower, tree, and bird in flight. We are revealed through sight our capacity to hold the world in seamless wonder, that we are somehow witness to a spread of grace that requires no true witness but just a note of pure awareness. Everything seems to be separate and then made whole in view - but reality is simply the expansion of view revealing one more aspect of this singular presence, yet to be discovered.

Without Measure

without measure - for grace extends, directionless, and always as our own belonging. There is no distance in seeing, no point of separation in listening. Everything emerges in a seamless fashion - an object rises from the capacity given by our empty nature, a birds song is heard across the silent field of our connection. We are joined by this. To see another is to recognize the space that was reserved for them alone, and in this endless welcome there always room for one more. True listening is simply silence shared as our response, we hear, and offer ourselves in understanding. All of this is immediate, without effort, and beyond the measure of any time or distance between us and all the world.

Peace,
Eric

Reckless Assumptions

I have been reckless in my assumptions - that the world will meet my beliefs in full compliance, or that my demands are anything more than a opinion given preference. It seems I've assumed a great importance for myself. This is a bit of a paradox - for in reality, I'm part of a very big deal. Yet for this to be so, I have to be absolutely nothing. And I am - I am emptiness expressed fully as the world. But I also have no say in any of this, to be an equal expression of reality gives me no special function or order, no issue of command. It simply means I belong as all existence. What I am is one thing in duality, a distinct appearance of the whole. My great assumption through life was that the appearance was the whole, the part greater than the sum. I forgot to see. So now I meet the favor the world, what's given is what belongs and my wish for things to be more, different, or not here at all, fit perfect in this belonging. My assumption now is that this moment is all that happens, and nothing more is needed to belong.

The Magic of What Is

that the world became at all, with no apparent reason, and my only guess at how or even why leads me simply to say it's magic. Of course this too is just a label placed on not knowing and in no what implies a greater hand or mind involved in this becoming. It's the spontaneous magic of becoming, that I am somehow gathered as an aware, energetic field amidst an infinite source of the very same stuff without true break between them - it's an amazement of existence. There is no need for my direct involvement, no demand for things to be a certain way to please me. The world is magic because it exist, because it allows for me to be, and more so because it allows for you as well - and this all is just a part of an even larger show of possibilities. It's the magic of what is.

Our Paradox Embraced

our constant yes - without single constraint to what's allowed in each moment. Our confusion is that we believe our demands hold final sway to any matter of reality. The present moment cares nothing of our want or needs. It simply accepts without condition. Of course we will find ourselves wishing for things to be different, second guessing a course of action that led us to our dissatisfaction. Yet all this too belongs exactly as it is, instantly, seamlessly brought within the moment. In this realization we end our fight with reality- everything is accepted, everything changes, and everything once more is welcomed as a new moment of existence. We say yes to it all - without choice, even as we act to change the world. It's our paradox embraced and the nature of this moment.

For This All To Be

for this all to be - I am, and through this I am
nothing more than all
things

It's not that we are of great importance and the world hinges on our existence - it's that we're not found apart from the world in any measured sense. Our molecules mingle with those of plants and birds, our breath is drawn from common air, we are extended in view and beyond to touch the stars. There is nowhere that we're not found as there is no break from what we are, and surely life depends on every aspect of itself for it's continued being. For this all to be, everything, has to include ourselves within and as the whole. There is nowhere else that could be. To say I am - is our belonging.

Trust That We Belong

as a flower..and never once to
miss the air,

perfect in its
reach

`

and without will - yet life expressed through the flow of its expression. The agenda of life is to be, continuing with no final conclusion, nor grand meaning of our enlightenment. The message is simply, always, life itself in full regard to its infinite mystery. This all happens on its own, no one wills life to be, there is nothing aside from us that demands our commitment to continue. We are life in full participation. In this light we are relieved of duty, given to the intent of just belonging without need to command circumstance or direction. Life takes care of itself. It's pretty simple really - our only role is to manage details as they appear. Trust that we belong.

Gifted to The Sky

to be of service - and by this it's just a subtle shift of favor, an offering of ourselves to hold the world through our embrace. It's the nature of our true capacity - emptiness existing for the sake of existence, and reversed in trade for our fulfillment. Through this we see a flower gifted to the sky and in return the world expands in beauty. It's really one thing in service to self, equal in its giving through form and spacious allowing. It's that simple - we serve in empty capacity to the bloom of every aspect of the world. Through one thing, we are of service to each other.

A Seamless Flow of Whatever

through silence - and I somehow come to words, or perhaps they arrive by unbidden grace and their meaning implied. Yet neither silence nor words were searched for, there was no point where one became the other and a separate thing called meaning emerged. This was a seamless flow of whatever, nameless in reality and I'm hesitant to call it anything here. It all just happened, still now in this continued writing - and just past each moment I seem to make a claim of doing. There's no message here, only a moment left uncensored by personal involvement. Through silence, then words - and it all simply happened on its own.

Found Home

from earth - we are matched as bodies, original form as gathered dust, and still one day this will be our return. Yet the sky as well is our true nature, both as origin and now this moment, we belong to air and stars. There is nowhere that's not touched by what we are. Through each moment, we are found home. Always.
