it's not your sorrow that is shared - but the
space in which it's held,
and in this we find our
common borders
~
it's a private thing - sorrow, despair, they all belong to a unique aspect of our world. Perhaps untouched by the caring of another. Yet empathy is not a broken wall between us, allowing an experience to be shared - empathy is but the space of our belonging, what holds us both in our distinct brand of suffering. This is what we share, presence, our own reality that allows all things to simply be. We are the love that gives room for common borders - and as this, your sorrow is sacred now to me.
Peace,
Eric
