my own awakening was simply coming to a subtle sense that the truest part of me - had never been asleep at all. It was the realization of being aware and that even in forgotten moments, times I felt I had been drifting, asleep, had indeed been held in this awareness. With this - I relaxed. There was nothing more to seek, no need for spiritual performance, or beliefs in rituals of the past. And yet all those practices remained, but now with the joy that comes with freedom. It's all here, the journey, mistakes, my lived in it's imperfections, the sense of who I am both small and large - it's all held in this awareness.
