Metta (Loving Kindness) Invitation

The method of Metta is such a simple, profound and effective means of bringing peace to ourselves and our relationships that it's a shame it isn't taught at an early age to every child - worldwide. It certainly would be a different world if this was the case. Metta - otherwise known as Loving Kindness Meditation is the process of extending love and compassion first towards ourselves and the extending this circle of kindness outwards to all. The meditator repeats key phrases silently to themselves - belief or feelings towards these phrases are unimportant at first - what counts is the intention of what we wish to offer. Soon we will find that a genuine feeling of compassion will arise naturally from within and eventually we will see the fruit of our effort blossoming in who we relate to the world and how the world relates to us. It may be the most important undertaking we ever embark upon. How hope you all will join me.
