Illusory world:
I don't necessarily believe the metaphysics of A Course in Miracles, and after decades of study the language still doesn't always resonate with me. But the simplicity and practicality of its message, the clear directive to forgive deeply and continuously, making no distinctions as to the size of grievances - there's been no greater gift to me than this practice.
an illusory world makes sense in a certain way, fitting nicely along side the thought of maya, as well as putting the onus of awakening squarely on my very shoulders. I am an idea in the mind of God, yet asleep and dreaming of a troubled existence. There it is, a nice cosmology, that God didn't create a meaningless world, I did, collectively with others and now our responsibility is to awaken.
I like a clear directive.
but it doesn't have to be true.
even if it is.
so for my own peace of mind, my sanity really, my role is only to forgive. I don't have to believe anything other than the immediate peace that's found through this quiet practice, making no announcements, just gently extending myself through the world, healing, surrendering,
illusory world or otherwise...
I forgive.

Peace, Eric
