A Kinder World

A kinder world:

through not bypassing a single dark thought or emotion, being attentive to our own distress and watchful of their projections - slowly, slowly, we now begin to perceive a different world. Nothing is outside our point of view, there is only the landscape of the mind, and what's seen is our creation. So it's our responsibility to change it. This is where the word begins, owning our creation by shifting the thoughts offered by the shadows of ego towards the light of the Holy Spirit.

it's a very simple plan.

examine the world caused by thought system.

and then choose a different one.

as often as needed.

until we see a kinder world.

You Are Wrong (And I Am Too)

You are wrong:

you are wrong, me too of course, all of us are - we have mistaken our interpretations of each other, the world and all of it's events as the truth. And we are wrong. Our mistake is that we've confused perception for knowledge, falsely believing that what's perceived has an inherent truth and is somehow independent of our own belief system. In other words - we are conveniently ignoring our projections, blaming each other for the divisiveness of the world.

when in truth,

it's all our creation.

here's the way out: we are all responsible for our perceptions, every bit of it, and it's our responsibility to change things. It's an inner job we're faced with, an exploration of consciousness that takes us through a tour of the mind. It's not always pleasant. But it's the only real journey worth taking. And all along the way we're only really doing one thing, continuously, and sincerely...

forgiving our perceptions.

all of them.

until we heal the world.

Projections

Projections:

such a belief, thinking that others are ever the cause for what say and do, believing that an external factor holds sway on any of our actions. Yet this is how we navigate through the world, indeed, A Course in Miracles states that is is literally that reason we created the world to begin with - as a scapegoat for our guilt to be projected upon and then judged harshly.

and of course we're now trapped in a reactionary world.

but we don't have to be.

we have dreamed this world into being and we can awaken,

or begin to, at anytime.

like right now.

here's how we do so - begin to give to others that which we most deeply seek, extending peace, not as an olive branch, but as an act of cultivating a sense of reconciliation within ourselves. We become whole only when we accept the entirety of who we truly are, and this is a complete inclusion of others. There are no walls between us, none, and as we explore the inner conditions we've projected outwards the imaginary walls begin to crumble.

and then,

 we forgive our projections.

our perception then shifting from judgement to grace,

peace being all we wish for.

and all we offer.

Radical Responsibility

Radical responsibility:

we're asked for no less than radical responsibility, acknowledging our role in the play of life's projections, relinquishing judgement of all that occurs, and seeing straight through to the original innocence of others -it's with this acceptance that we begin to heal the world.

everything is our responsibility.

if only at the most subtle level of involvement.

consciousness is participatory.

this means the world, how we live and view it, is entirely our creation. One of the most meaningful lessons of A Course in Miracles asks us not to seek to change the world, but to choose to change our minds about it - and it's through this alone that the world will change. Again, it's radical responsibility, not blame, just acceptance of our own role in salvation.

we're meant to heal the world.

because it's our creation.

a projection, really.

and seeing this,

truly so...

our world then begins to heal.

Confrontation

Confrontation:

the most difficult part is always coming to my own confrontation, those judgments held against myself that finally surface to my awareness. It's been relatively easy to recognize and release attack thoughts against others, even the most subtle ones that seem to initially escape detection. Yet in time it becomes obvious that any thought that places another another in a category separate from myself is an attack thought, perhaps holding various degrees of damage, but still attacking someone from the point of my own deeply buried projections.

so really...

I fail in seeing this confrontation with myself.

very subtly shifting my thoughts to other.

and missing the point entirely.

it's always about me, selfishly so, with no one else ever being responsible for how I view the world, and how my gaze should always be turned towards recognizing my projections. That's indeed the most difficult part, hardest for sure, but it's the final key to lasting peace of mind.

confronting myself through the guise of others...

I slowly heal the world.

That Only Love is Real

That only love is Real:

things began to make sense to me when I read the explanation from A Course in Miracles on projections, that the world is how we perceive it and not how it actually it, a greater reality prevails just beneath the surface of our view. Our projections are literally a forced perception on the world, thoughts creating the appearance of a reality that only serves to boost the ego's concerns.

this explains why if only love is real...

we see such a troubled world.

it's one of our own creation.

a projection.

based solely upon the ego's view of separation.

of course this is metaphysics, it doesn't have to be believed, I'm not even sure that I do - yet I love the antidote to this problem just the same. We heal the world, our thoughts about it, only through forgiveness, one projection at a time. It's a personal healing, no one else has to be involved, using the same principle of projection we now turn it towards one of extension, a soft offering of the reality of love to the world. So now we're continuously forgiving, through all of our projections...

until we're empty of every grievance.

and we see

 that only love is real.
