A Instant Grace

An instant grace:

here's the possibility that's offered in the closing words of chapter 20 of A Course in Miracles - coming almost in a soft urgency of a whisper, asking me to think 'but an instant" on the holiness of God's son and then consider the possibility that there is nothing else to ever see. The Course says it in beautiful and powerful language, creating a zen moment of instant awakening if the reader is ripe for such a thing. There are moments, brief and often lengthy between them, when I truly behold only the holiness of another. A near lifetime of practicing forgiveness has sometimes given me a glimpse of this reality. I have been blessed by this holy sight...an instant grace of eternity it seems.

and the world after this is never quite the same.

as I found myself in the very same light that holds you...

a holy son as well.

I love you, Eric

Bless the World

Bless the world:

and with our holiness now known it becomes our only function to bless the world. We have rediscovered our ancient truth, being holier than ever dreamed, awakening to the reality of God. So know our role is to continue to recognize this about ourselves through the appearance of others, that we look past the surface stories of our hurt and wounds and see each soul struggling to be known.

our only function here is to silently,

lovingly,

greet this struggle gently.

and continue blessing all the world.

with no exceptions possible.

I love you, Eric

Everything We See

Everything we see:

and as established previously, our mind is part of God's and we are very holy, indeed - with this realization comes a new vision of the world, enveloping everything we see through the holiness of our love. This is the true resurrection, a rebirth of those condemned by the judgments we once cast. And most importantly this includes our own reflection.

we know ourselves truly now.

holy.

and this envelopes everything we see.

I love you, Eric

Our Loneliness

Our loneliness:

there's a certain quality to our loneliness, a holiness really, an ache that calls for us to explore, as if we're finally given a clear directive to turn within and discover who we truly are. It's with this that I've come to love myself, with the past few years being largely reclusive and mostly by choice. My loneliness has led me home, slowly, a breath at a time it sometimes seems.

but I'm here now.

and find there's nowhere else I could possible be.

I've actually been here all along.

hidden by my own wish to escape this loneliness.

completely missing the holiness of it's call.

yet now I know for certain...

I'm not along at all.

Peace, Eric
