we notice - and then let go.
there's no battle here, it's not a struggle between chaos and calm - no, it's much more prayerful, a continuous return to the underlying silence of God. Whenever anxious thoughts gather, or fear offers a sense of gloom, one simple prayer is enough brings us home -
we say to ourselves...this need not be.
and then listen,
there's another option here, gentle, quieter, softer,
whispering just past the point of silence.
listen.
this is our direction home.
