Guiltless (An Entire World Forgiven): 

we have judged ourselves guilty, I certainly have, and it feels impossibly to escape the harshness of our condemnation. So that's what we project onto the world, our collective judgment that sees everyone as guilty as we are in some way, deserving of being punished in varying degrees.

it's what keeps the world running exactly as it is.

guilt is our entrapment.

yet it's forgiveness that sets us free.

this is a different type of forgiveness, radical, and centered on the idea that we are entirely sinless, being unable to carry the illusion of sin into the innocence of this present moment. Our forgiveness is based upon reality, that right now there's only eternity, we're timeless, with an impossible past left so far behind that it's well beyond existence. 

we're free, guiltless...

all of us.

an entire world forgiven.

A Very Different Way

A very different way: 

there's a point where it becomes clear what we're asked to do, and although it seems difficult at first, impossible even - it isn't. It's just very different than how we've lived before. This is a mind-shift, small, a little willingness to listen to familiar voice that's been so long ignored. 

we're only asked to listen, recognize this voice as ours...

and then surrender to the love it offers.

nothing more.

what happens through studying A Course in Miracles is the recognition of ego and its creation of the world. So in the beginning this world is dismantled with the early workbook lessons, thought experiments  where we simply examine our usual way of thinking and seeing. It's a gentle practice, yet shocking just the same. Our entire world is dominated by the ego, little room for any true beauty and love has become a bargaining tool. Forgiveness, as seen through the innocence of the present moment - is seldom, if ever, offered to others. Or even to ourselves. These early lessons ask if this is the world we truly wish for, and if not, would we be willing to see it all a different way?

there's a promise,

forgiveness, radical in it's practice, will transform our world.

it's not hard...

but it is very different.

Of every glimpse offered: 

of every glimpse offered, bringing a pure sense of our true connection, forgiveness is the surest practice of non-duality. This is beyond a pointer, it's the actuality of experience. We're asked to look beyond the perceptions of our wounds and recognize the unifying light between us. 

forgiveness is the miracle of healing.

and what's healed isn't of the ego, we're past that now, no longer concerned with illusions here. Our miracle is that glimpse of reality, and once seen, we never truly return to an ordinary life. This is a practice because we're always brought something to forgive, one more illusion to be healed. So we're able to proceed through life with the sureness of this grace, without any need of seeking enlightenment as it's offered all along the way. 

to forgive...is to awaken.

continuously.

until the entire world's forgiven, 

healed, 

and only love remains.

Only When I surrender

Only when I surrender: 

it's only when I surrender, complete trust in the will of God, serene in the faith that I am cared for - and with this I know the way ahead is clear for me to follow. Every time I read lesson 155 of A Course in Miracles I am recommitted to the path of my surrender. Here, I am asked to step back and let God lead the way, having that little willingness to see through my fears and allow my heart to guide me. In this way I walk through the world,still most often confronted by illusions...

yet knowing now that I have never walk alone.

my every step embraced by love.

Returning Home

Returning home: 

the mistake I've most often made, and for the longest time, is in the attempt to forgive through my own limited vision, bringing my ego-sense of justice to the a situation that clearly calls for love - and this actually keeps me blind to what forgiveness really is. 

it's only when there's a little willingness to let go of my small perceptions,

surrendering them to Christ...

does forgiveness then truly happen. 

so here, Christ is the representative of my right mind, a symbol, whole and complete, and able to see past the limits of my perception. Ego, which is just a false narrative, will never forgive, but only bargain for what it feels it rightly deserves. Forgiveness heals this split mind, it's a return to home, a wholeness that's only possible with the entirety of the world included. 

no exceptions.

and so my only wish is to heal.

to be whole.

returning home with you.

On Its Own: 

forgiveness isn't even our prerogative, it's not a favor granted to some and denied others, nor a special gift displayed by certain kindhearted people. It's a natural and easy reflection upon the present moment - and through this we gain our freedom from the past.

only love is present now.

anything else is an illusion. 

all we're ever asked to do...is just bare witness to this truth.

and forgiveness happens on its own.

Do Not Seek

Do not seek:

as an ego, or mistakenly identified as such, our directive is to search for love and yet self-sabotage in this very task we've assigned ourselves. To rediscover love is the annihilation of the ego, its game of seek and do not find that's now completely over. 

with love...we're home at last.

of course the truth is that we're immersed in love.

always.

and to realize this is just a mind-shift away, a prayerful miracle request instantly granted - we only have to ask. But the ego will never ask for its own destruction. It will only keep fooling itself, convinced that it's on a valid quest to truly know love. 

seek and do not find.

this is why every path is eventually futile, circular, and leading right back to its beginning. Truth isn't hard to find, in fact, it's impossible to miss once we surrender to its presence. The Christian saint Catherine of Siena gave us this directive with her line that every step of the way to heaven...is heaven. 

do not seek,

only love.

and through this we come to know ourselves -

exactly where we are.
