Sincerely: 

there's is indeed another way of walking through the world, peaceful, serene, and knowing of a sure connection to the source of all there is. I have no doubted for so long, even as I chased it as the ultimate goal of my every spiritual practice. Of course it eluded me, as A Course in Miracles beautifully states "seek and do not find" and that's the predicament many of us find ourselves in.  There was really only a slight shift of focus that brought this to an end for me and that was the sincerity of my practice of forgiveness. Everyday brings forgiveness opportunities and each one is an awakening, a small enlightenment at hand that literally brings me home the instant that I sincerely commit to forgiving anything that disturbs my peace of mind. The truth is, I was never actually seeking enlightenment, no, I was really just avoiding those light-filled moments in order to stay lost in the darkness of my own resentments. At least until they could no longer be avoided...

thankfully. 

forgiveness is a continuous process, it's the only safety that's ever truly offered. 

and sincerely now,

it's the path I follow while walking through this world.

The Light Has Come

The light has come: 

 so the light has come, it's already present right now, and that's the great promise of lesson 75 of A Course in Miracles, stating that in a sense, we can relax into the reality of who we are. I've always loved that the Course doesn't build up to revealing the truth, it's present at the very beginning of the text and at first lesson. It's holographic really, as one sentence or lesson contains the entirety of the message. The light has come tells me that every lesson that follows will simply be a revelation. 

so my role now is to only see the light.

and I have a lifetime to practice.

Awaken

Awaken: 

and I chased enlightenment for many years, so many spiritual practices, deep states of meditation, plant medicines, and every promise from those who offered an awakening. Yet I continuously put off the most obvious - forgiveness truly does offer everything I want. This is instant zen, original innocence restored within a moment, and it's always available, a daily encounter with my hidden Christ nature. It's not that I didn't know this, but it was the depth of my grievances and guilt that I found surprising. This is a practice of seeing every illusion as an opportunity for the light of reality to shine through. So it's the entire world that needs to be forgiven, as long as there's a projection from my most hidden depth...there's a need for my forgiveness. 

and through this practice, with every encounter...

I awaken.

That's All

That's all: 

this isn't a seekers path, it's more of an undoing, really, as nothing is truly gained. The only objective is healing a mind that seems split between chaos and peace., This is accomplished through forgiving the part of the mind that, through illusory, has been calling the shots throughout our lives. A Course in Miracles doesn't call on us to battle the ego - but only to continuously forgive the choices we make that are based upon it's faulty perception. We're then asked to simply choose the right mind, or what the Course calls the Holy Spirit, as often as possible, quietly so...

 and no one even has to know what we;re doing.

that's all.

Instructions

Instructions: 

I like instructions, explicit and directly to the point, most especially in matters that concern my own well-being. This is why I've been drawn to those paths that provide the most clear way ahead, such as yoga, Buddhism, and A Course in Miracles, they provide a blueprint for lasting peace and happiness. Even enlightenment, if you will. I love too the fact that Jesus was so precise with his instructions - love God with heart, soul, and mind, as well as too love others as we love ourselves.

there's no room for negotiations here.

Jesus also pointed in the exact direction for us to find heaven, stating several times that the kingdom was only found within, and yet we still continuously look elsewhere. As a Christian, the path is definitely clear, and if more were needed than the Sermon of the Mount gives even more detailed instructions. Nothing more is needed for a meaningful, loving life than to follow the way of Christ. 

if that is your path, of course. 

with Krishna, the path of yoga is laid clear in the Bhagavad Gita. This is the way of surrender, laying aside attachments to the fruit of our endeavors, and living in the simplicity of an inner-directed life. Buddha too gives an eight-fold path that leads towards awakening. There's really little guess work involved here, it's just a matter of following these instructions. 

for me, the directive is forgiveness.

A Course in Miracles continuously points towards healing a fractured world, placing the responsibility solely upon my own practice. The instructions are quite simple: forgiving others as would wish to be forgiven. That's it. But it's a profound practice, not easy, as it shifts my beliefs away from blame and judgement towards a reality of absolute grace and a love without conditions. 

yet the instructions are clear.

forgive,

and further still...forgive some more.

until I heal a fractured world.

Bare Essentials

Bare essentials: 

it's now reduced to just a few simple things, like the simplicity of breath and the gentle stretch of body, a quiet, contemplative moment or two, kindness to all, gratefulness, and being able to forgive myself and others -that's the entirety of my spiritual path. 

nothing more is needed. 

at a certain point in life, or so it has been for me, everything else is let go of, all but these few essential practices are maintained, and truly, they're not really a practice. They're more an expression of my deepest, surest self that's now offered to the world.

I'm no longer interested in acquiring more knowledge. 

it's time to give myself away

 down to the point of bare essentials.

and live my life from here.
