Tracks

Tracks: 

there are tracks too across the water, trails of motion with a cause as varied as a birds skim across the surface in its catch of an insect meal, or the leap of a bullfrog back into the water from a nearby log. My morning walks have helped me tune into these signs, learning to distinguish these subtle water signs and very often locating their source for a video clip or photograph. 

I love that I'm able to do this, having a new discerning talent that brings me so much joy. As well, with a bit of age and a life behind of practice - there are tracks of both ego and soul that allow me to trace them to their source. These are even more subtle than the water signs I've learned to track, but I've grown a bit more skillful, able to distinguish the first hint of trails and now, at least more often, only follow the ones that lead to a deep inner joy. 

there are tracks of God all around us. 

signs of love left for us to follow. 

just look.

My Every Wish

I'm listening, finally now, and as my life becomes more prayerful there is a grace to each request, not wishing for things to be granted, but just an acceptance of each moment as it's given. My prayer is for the communion itself...

My Only True Prayer

 

My only true prayer:

a continuous prayer now, a communion of silence without need to vocalize a request beyond my wish for peace. Life becomes very simple here, miraculous in the sense that I deeply know myself as the source of love, intimately connected to God, and that truly, my only prayer is to extend myself to others. From this point on it's all I have to offer...

and it begins with you.

In Prayer

In prayer: 

it's applicable to everything, a simple surrender of my own demanding way for the more gentle approach that's always offered by the Holy Spirit. This is letting ego slide it's grip of control from every aspect of life and asking for an easy way - although so often that initial step seems to be the hardest of all. But I am always blessed with a response, indeed, by just making the request there is the immediacy of relief, as if the very moment my lips part in prayer...there's a loving presence known.

and I always wonder,

why I wait so long in asking.

I Need Do Nothing

I need do nothing:  

more so than ever now it seems that I'm confronted with not knowing anything aside from the immediacy of each present moment, and even this remains a mystery as to exactly why and how life is happening exactly in this way. At the very same time I feel comforted, even guided, in my path ahead. All I'm asked to to do is to surrender all notion of being asked to do anything - I'm alive, gifted with breath and a little willingness to trust that love will light my way. 

I need do nothing, 

and yet everything, somehow, gets taken care of.

such is the way of love.

Tiniest Detail

Tiniest detail: 

it's love trickled down to tiniest detail, just small acts of grace that somehow too carry the entire weight of God in their trace across this brief life of mine. I want nothing more than to devote myself to this, surrendering to the pure love that seeks release through my every point of kindness. 

so I've found found my purpose here, and of course, it was present all along. But I spent a lifetime looking for the grand enlightenment that I so truly believed in, chasing the illusion of awakening with eyes still closed. 

really, my only purpose is kindness, it always has been, 

and I'm blessed to realize this now. 

how my own true awakening is found in the tiniest detail.

just those small acts of grace...

repeated for a lifetime.

My Most Forgiving Thought

My most forgiving thought: 

the mantra is my most forgiving thought, pure, primordial, and always a return to innocence. Meditation is my time of cleansing, a vibrational bath of subtle sounds that brings me to the essence of forgiveness - that only love is present in these silent moments, and the mantra repeatedly leads me to an easy letting go of every thought that doesn't serve love's purpose. 

my mantra is forgiveness,

pure,

primordial,

and always leading me home.
