I Am - Briefly Explained

I am - space for thoughts to
wander,

or gather for a moment in belief that
they are form.

yet always still - I am fully, only,
presence for it all to be.

Sometimes I Think I know

sometimes - I think I know, and a
rush of words come to
my assurance.

other times grace remains an
empty page,

and still a mystery

even as I write these few
words.

~
The only truth is - I don't know. We don't know. It's all speculation once thought, spoken, or written. Yet even as I write these words, and even as they're read, we remain the mystery itself, undefined, absolute in not knowing a thing beyond this present moment of existence.
It's enough.

Not To Be Believed

it's not simply to be believed, but verified each moment from view and what is heard - from sights that touch within our capacity to embrace them, from sounds that drift not against our ears but play their notes to a silent understanding.
At no point are we removed from what is seen or heard.
We are aware,
Awake.
And everything we see and hear tells us so.

Intimate In It's Sharing

let's talk of this - our true intimacy, as one thing giving way to itself in order to appear as another. It's the nature of existence. There's just one air shared between us, a common breath drawn and a release giving back to the world. Nowhere are we apart in this, it's a singular respiration in distinct measure. Even our view doesn't break in a clear divide between us, there's point where I find myself separate from what's seen, the scenery of a tree is not removed from my awareness to yours - we see the essence of life touching earth, sky and our own perception as well. In observation, we are in fact as much tree, equally together, as we are observers. Again - one thing simply giving way to itself, intimate in its sharing.

Sometimes By Grace

sometimes by grace - and all effort to the
point of our surrender,

belong within its greater
hands.

~
it's not a concept greater or beyond ourselves, we could just as easily call it mystery - but still it is always, inexplicably, the possibility of our salvation. To be saved is not to be delivered elsewhere, it's not a far off heaven, nor even a place reserved for an enlightened mind. It's right here, our own clarity, this very moment is our salvation.
Grace - is simply awakening to this
realization.

How To Be - A Brief Lesson In Several Parts

how to be - and the lesson is of the breath, it's
release and the faith of
air returned.

we are an example of body, heart beating to a rhythm of its
own accord, a living stream of vital parts, each
serving as a function of the
whole.

it's our own mind - holding thoughts judged and
too the space for letting go.

our lesson is the world, one horizon in allowance to twilight, darkness, and
again the sun, it's the seamless merge of seasons, and its the
flower bud in mystery of its own bloom.

how to be - and the lesson is, we are now, simply
always, only, Being.

this is no apart from this.

Self Or No-self Alike

no-self, and by this we mean no singular quality, nothing lasting, and not one aspect found separate from the whole - indeed there is an appearance of character, a self that seems to navigate the world, and this is the belief we have lent our identity. Yet the no-self is just as true, equal in reality, and just as readily known. Is there a point where our breath becomes divided from air, our apparent solid form not mingled as the view? It's impossible to see a star apart from the no-self of sky, and too I could not hold your image in my own sight without capacity for this embrace to be. Here, we find the paradox of space becoming the very thing it holds, no-self lending its void for an apparent self to thrive, neither emptiness nor form are denied.
It's all seamless.
And so we find ourselves in fact - as no-self too.
We are both sky and star as well as that
which is aware of both within its
view.

But at no point are we apart from it all - self, or no-self alike.
